This is the same pipeline that runs on a 200-student school in under 60 seconds — solver, constraint validation, schedule generation, all of it.
A multi-week process that consumes counselors, principals, and registrars from March through August. Six interacting constraints, hundreds of singletons, and one wrong click that ripples through every student's year. Today's tools tell you "conflict" and show you a 12-column matrix.
Calc, Band, AP Spanish, Adv Chem — three of those are singletons and there may be no valid schedule.
Counselors entered the profession to advise students. They spend months on data entry instead.
"Import" means pasting a CSV dump. Write-back means pasting another one back. Slow, fragile, asymmetric.
A classical solver guarantees correctness. A large language model (LLM) explains conflicts in plain English. A second LLM turns your house rules into solver constraints. The LLM never makes scheduling decisions on its own — the solver always certifies feasibility.
You type the rule. An LLM parses it into a formal constraint with a confidence score — before anything goes near the solver.
When the solver can't place a student, the LLM reads the actual constraint graph and writes you a sentence — with ranked, impact-aware fixes.
A purpose-built mathematical solver places every section. The LLM never decides where a student goes — only Timefold does, and it certifies feasibility on every step.
No more clicking through 12-column matrices. Bellnav reads "Coach Hayes needs PE only in periods 5–7 so he can handle lunch duty" and produces the formal constraint the solver consumes — with the parsed interpretation visible before you commit.
When a student can't fit, you don't get a matrix — you get a sentence. And not just "this is broken." Bellnav tells you exactly which other students each candidate fix would help or hurt, so you can pick the cheapest unlock.
86 sections, 18 teachers, 8 periods. Drag to fix. Bellnav re-checks feasibility on every change.

Bellnav handles the standard exports your student information system already produces — pipe-delimited, CSV, or tab-separated. Drop in your file; we'll show you a clean preview in seconds — courses, teachers, students, requests, all of it. No middleware. No custom integrations to maintain.
Ship master scheduling under your brand. We do the AI; your customers see your colors, your logo, your wordmark. Toggle the preview to see how Land of Lakes Academy looks when their SIS partner ships Bellnav re-skinned.
Logo, wordmark, primary color, email sender — every customer surface is yours. "Powered by Bellnav" is the only mention of us.
Single sign-on from your portal. Provision schools through your admin tools. We never touch the customer relationship.
Volume pricing scaled to your customer base. Revenue-share models available for larger partners.
Other schedulers added a chatbot. Bellnav was built from the ground up around solver-grounded LLMs — which is the only way to get plain-English explanations that are actually correct.

Six capabilities, every one shipped because a real scheduler asked for it. The rest stays out of your way.
Save three named drafts. Compare outcomes side-by-side. Commit only when ready.
Real-time editing with role-based access and audit logs on every change.
Toggle on so students draft their own schedule. Counselors still approve every submission.
Email, calendar invite, or branded PDF — send every student their personal schedule in one click.
Admin, counselor, and read-only roles. Every change tracked with who, what, and when.
Same interface on laptop, iPad, or phone in the parking lot before a board meeting.
Annual subscription, auto-renews each year. Bill monthly or save 10% paying annually. Lock your rate for longer to protect against renewal increases.
Your monthly rate stays fixed for the lock period. After it ends, your subscription auto-renews into another lock at the same length and rate — opt out anytime up to 60 days before renewal.
Browse by topic. Each answer is self-contained so you can extract what you need.
Under 10 minutes from sign-up to a populated draft schedule. Drop your SIS export, hit Run, and Bellnav places every section. You can build a full first-pass master schedule in about an hour and finish refinements in 1–3 days of focused work.
No. Bellnav is fully self-serve. Sign up with your email, upload your data, and you're in. Our onboarding wizard walks you through every step. If you get stuck, our in-app AI support agent answers most questions instantly.
Yes — 30 days, no questions asked. Subscribe, drop in your data, build your master schedule. If Bellnav isn't a fit in the first 30 days, email support and we'll process a full refund. After day 30 you're committed through the end of your current rate-lock period (1, 2, or 3 years depending on what you picked). We don't run a free trial because master scheduling is seasonal and we'd rather you just use the product than rush a trial timer — the playground on this page is our "try before you buy" surface and needs no signup.
Annual subscription, billed via Stripe. Pay monthly (charged the same day each month) or pay annually upfront for an additional 10% off. Your rate is locked for 1, 2, or 3 years depending on which lock you pick — longer locks earn bigger discounts and protect against future price increases.
Yes — at the end of your rate-lock period (1, 2, or 3 years), your subscription auto-renews into another lock of the same length, at the same rate. We'll email you a reminder 60 days before each renewal so it's never a surprise. If you'd rather switch to month-to-month or stop entirely, toggle "Auto-renew" off in your account up to 60 days before renewal and your subscription will roll into flexible month-to-month after the current lock ends — cancel anytime from there.
Mid-lock cancellation isn't available — that's the trade-off for the locked-in rate and the multi-year discount. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers your first month, after which you're committed through the end of your current lock period. After that, you control everything: stay on auto-renew, switch to month-to-month, or cancel completely. Your data exports cleanly to CSV anytime; we don't hold it hostage.
Yes. SIS partners get up to 30% off per campus plus white-label co-branding. Multi-site districts and large university campuses qualify for volume pricing — talk to us directly and we'll quote.
Bellnav imports any standard delimited export — pipe-separated, CSV, or tab-separated — which covers virtually every SIS in K–12 and higher education. One-click flows exist for the most common platforms; a mapped CSV import handles everything else.
No. Bellnav is a master scheduler, not an SIS. We import from your existing SIS, build the master schedule, and write the result back. Your SIS remains the system of record for grades, attendance, billing, and parent communication.
All scheduling data is encrypted at rest and in transit. The solver runs in our infrastructure; the LLM layer sees only the constraint graph and request metadata (not PII like addresses or grades). SOC 2 Type II is targeted for the v1.5 release. FERPA-aligned by default.
LLMs are next-token predictors with no internal guarantee that two teachers won't be assigned to the same period. WashU research on TRACE-cs found symbolic-plus-LLM hybrids hit 100% accuracy on scheduling explanation vs. 44–49% for LLM-only. We use the solver for correctness and the LLM for clarity — each tool doing its right job.
Bellnav scales from a 100-student campus to a multi-thousand-seat university. The AI handles the logic — buildings, rooms, periods, instructors, sections — so size barely changes the experience. Smaller schools see sub-60-second solves; larger institutions get the same correctness with multi-counselor collaboration.
Optional — admins can toggle "Student-driven scheduling" on. When enabled, students see their earned credits and available courses, draft a preferred schedule, and submit it to the counselor for review. The counselor still owns approval; the student saves the counselor a back-and-forth.
Pick a rate lock, drop in your SIS file, run the solver — you'll have a placed, conflict-resolved draft before lunch. Refund within 30 days if it's not what you needed.
